God is a giver.
We tend to feel overlooked when we are in need or if feeling overwhelmed by circumstances. But God is still a Giver.
We worship a God whom gave the most important possession of all, His Son. He just did not give him away but sent Him to a painful death.
Giving is inherent to God's nature. He cannot help but give.
To me, that means that I must increase in two areas.
Rather than being enmeshed in worry, I can increase in my attentiveness and receptivity.
In attentiveness, I can search for God more frequently rather than dwelling on my inadequacies.
In receptiveness, am I hearing and listening to God? Am I responding in a way that reflects Him?
These are key to receiving from God. (Isaiah 26:3)
